In Windsor, the Riverside Pickleball group is a 56 member group that plays two evenings a week.  For 2 weeks (4 nights) instead of paying $5 to play they instead were asked to bring in certain items to give to the food bank.

As it is well known, many people are struggling financially. In an attempt to give back to the community, the Riverside pickleball group asked their players to bring a non-perishable donation worth approx.$5  for their entrance fee. In order to maybe get something in bulk(ex. Costco toilet paper), or a more expensive item (ex. laundry soap) some went together.

The food was taken to the Tecumseh Fire Hall and delivered it to the Community Service Centre. The food was distributed between their food bank, Meals On Wheels and assist to low income seniors and families.

Some of the items that were collected.  WHAT A GREAT IDEA!
