Welcome to the most exciting pickleball initiative to take place in South West Ontario since the beginning of the sport. Regardless of where you live this may have an impact on you!
There is an initiative underway for a new indoor pickleball facility, with 13 dedicated pickleball courts! You read that correctly “indoor dedicated pickleball courts”! The exact location of this gem is expected to be in south west London close to the 401 corridor which is easy access for all neighbouring communities! This facility will have proper lighting, proper court surface, pickleball court lines only, heated in the winter, air conditioned in the summer, permanent nets and a court divider system for uninterrupted play. That information was just about the courts!
This new facility is for pickleball players of every level. There will be a Pickleball Director who will facilitate youth programs for those 6 years and up, intro clinics, lessons, ladders, tournaments, social round robins and of course personal court bookings.
This may all sound too good to be true but it is not! The success of stage one of this endeavour, called the Feasibility Study will be measured in survey responses. It has been determined that we need about 2000 survey responses to prove the interest in this world class facility that could be located in your backyard! The steering committee for this endeavour wants to build this facility with all the components that are most important to YOU!
