WC Eaket Secondary School – Intramural Pickleball Tournament

With the assistance of the Blind River Pickleball Club who loaned their equipment and expertise, pickleball has been successively introduced to the youth and community.

A Regional Pickleball tournament has been proposed for May 2024 with at least 4 other high schools interested in taking part,  WC Eaket Secondary School in Blind River  has 14 players practicing 2 times a week  with more expected.  The school recently purchased enough equipment for four courts including paddles and balls.  Thanks to this equipment their students are having their first ever intramural Pickleball tournament.

Thanks to the generous financial assistance of the Blind River Rotary Club, enough equipment was purchased for a second high school École Secondaire Jeunesse Nord. Interested staff at the schools are eager to get their students involved in the sport.
