NOTICE OF CALL FOR NOMINATIONS TO THE PAO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

CALL for interested PAO members
The board is currently seeking Nominees who are interested in letting their name stand for appointment to the PAO Board of Directors. Elections of candidates will be held during the September 23 rd 2016 AGM at the PAN AM Centre, 16 Main Street Unionville, in Markham ON.

Members with the time, interest and commitment to assist the Board in the pursuit of the Organization’s strategic priorities including, meeting the requirements for a Recognized Sports Organization designation (RSO) are encouraged to let their name stand for appointment at the 2016 AGM.

Interested Members should send a short biography, no more than 1-2 paragraphs, expressing an interest along with a short summary of their experience and/or background skills.

Final date for the receipt of nominations is: July 26th, 2016 at 11:59 pm.

How to Become a PAO Member Club.

In order to receive the benefits described, your club must be registered as a Member Club with Pickleball Ontario. This requires a signed agreement, which we provide. It indicates the club will abide by the following conditions:

– Recognize Pickleball Ontario provincially and Pickleball Canada nationally as the governing bodies of pickleball in Ontario and Canada respectively
– Support the vision, mission and goals of Pickleball Ontario and Pickleball Canada
– Maintain 100 % membership in Pickleball Ontario and Pickleball Canada
– Have a minimum of 10 people designated as members of the Home Club
– Have a Board of Directors
– Charge fees to participate in the club
– Have a bank account
– Have a non-misleading name
– Designate one person to interact with Pickleball Ontario
